Where to start?

Launch your website in spring

In Antibes, the year plays out between June and September. Go live in spring, and Google has time to discover your website before the visitors arrive.

A web developer who knows Antibes

My name is Ivan Vujnovic. I’ve been building websites for more than ten years, mostly with WordPress and PrestaShop. I build new ones and keep improving them over the years.

I’m based between Monaco and Cannes, so I know the rhythm of the year. For many of you, it all happens between June and September. But a restaurant in Juan-les-Pins doesn’t need the same website as a company in Sophia Antipolis.

What businesses in Antibes need

  • Hotels, restaurants and beach clubs

Your customers look you up on their phone, often in English. They want to see the menu and the prices, then book straight away.

  • Yachting, around Port Vauban

On the Billionaires’ Quay, yachts range from 70 to 165 metres. Shipyards, crew agencies, yacht services: your clients write in English and expect a clear answer. Your website should let them ask you for a quote easily.

  • Shops in Old Antibes

Your opening hours, address and products should be clear at a glance. And if you ship, an online store keeps you selling through the winter.

  • Companies in Sophia Antipolis

The technology park extends partly into Antibes. Its companies want a multilingual website that is secure and kept up to date, often with careers pages.

In Antibes, a good website is built in winter, so it’s ready when the visitors arrive.

The right timing to be ready before summer

A website launched in July is too late. Google hasn’t had time to find it, and you haven’t had time to check it. For a launch in spring, here is the timetable I suggest. The work itself only takes a few weeks; the rest is leeway.

The right timing for a website ready before summerFrom October to December, we prepare the text, photos and translation. In January and February, we build the website. In March, the website goes live. In April and May, Google discovers it and we fine-tune. From June to September, it is the season, and, if you wish, I keep an eye on the website.THE RIGHT TIMINGSUMMERONDJFMAMJJASText, photos, translationWe build the websiteGoing liveGoogle discovers the websiteThe seasonBest launch time: spring

Meet in Antibes, or work remotely

I mostly work remotely. We talk by email or video call, and you follow your website’s progress through a link.

But we are neighbours. Would you rather discuss your project face to face? At the start or at a key moment, we can meet in Antibes or Juan-les-Pins.

I also work with businesses in Biot, Vallauris, Valbonne and Villeneuve-Loubet, and of course in Nice and Cannes.

A few projects

Since 1960, a Monaco business has been selling DIY, home and garden supplies. I built its PrestaShop store, linked to its management software. For a sports coach, I built a website that handles bookings and the waiting list on its own. Two needs that many businesses in Antibes share.

The questions I get asked most

How much does it cost to build a website in Antibes?

It depends on what your website needs to do, not on the town. The number of pages, the languages, an online store or bookings all change the work. I never quote blind: tell me about your project and I’ll reply within one business day, then send you an itemised quote.

How long does it take to build a website?

Allow a few weeks for a brochure website, a little longer for an online store. The quote gives you a precise timeline. If your business depends on summer, aim to launch in spring.

Freelancer or web agency: which should I choose?

An agency brings several people, which helps on very large projects. With me, there is no middleman. You deal with the person who designs and builds your website, and who looks after it afterwards.

Should my website be in both French and English?

In Antibes, it usually pays off. Tourists, yacht owners, foreign residents and companies in Sophia Antipolis search in English, while many local customers search in French. I build multilingual websites, with each version properly linked so Google shows every visitor the right language.

Can you come and meet me in Antibes?

Yes. I’m based between Monaco and Cannes, so I’m close by. We can meet in Antibes, Juan-les-Pins or Sophia Antipolis, at the start of the project or at a key moment. The rest of the time we work remotely, by email or video call.

How can customers in Antibes find me more easily?

A clear page for each service, a website that is fast on a phone, a complete Google Business Profile and customer reviews. These are the basics of local SEO, and I explain them in my guide to SEO basics.
